Landscape Design: Before and After

Early Construction Tear Out of Yard and Driveway

Older homes often can be easily updated by creating a new look for the yard.  This home had lots of woodsy appeal but was dated with an aging driveway, square, mossy border walls and too formal landscape plantings that needed updating, replacing and trimming. The larger landscape plants overwhelmed the front of the house hiding some of its visual appeal.  Greenhaven came in with a more natural design plan, using less formal plantings and landscape style, creating a landscape design that enhanced the forest feel of this well established house with river rock, boulders and native plants.

PROBLEM: A dated and worn yard, driveway and side yard.

SOLUTION: Reconstructing the yard, driveway and side yards created curb appeal and gave the whole house a facelift.

PROBLEM:  The entry was dated and aging with a large plantings that created a closed in feel

SOLUTION: First, add new irrigation pipe to water the new front yard and landscape. Second, open up the space with smaller native landscape plants and grasses and create a soft, flowy edge to the front patio.  The entry becomes more inviting and friendly, creating space for friends and family to enjoy the lovely woodsy outdoors of the neighborhood.
